2nd FLxFlow Course

Final Program


The 2nd FLxFlow Course will cover the fundamentals of flow cytometry technology and will build up the knowledge of the attendees through a series of lectures, exercises, practical examples and interactive learning.

This course is organised by 3 modules: Basic, Advanced and Hands-on.  This layout has been designed to build up knowledge of flow cytometry to ensure that the attendees are confident to design, carry out, analyse and present their flow cytometry data.


Basic Module:

This module is aimed at those new to flow cytometry and those wanting to understand the basics of the technology.

One of the main aims of this course is to give the attendees a firm understanding of fluorescence, fluorochromes and the workings of a cytometer. This is followed by talks on fluorescence compensation, basics of experimental design and data analysis.


Advanced Module:

Attendees will hear about planning an experiment, analyse data, troubleshooting and reporting their flow cytometry data. The varied applications of flow cytometry are explained including cell sorting, apoptosis, imaging flow cytometry and functional studies, such as proliferation and cell cycle analysis.


Hands-On Module:

During this module the attendees will be able to plan and run experiments in immunophenotyping, cell cycle, cell death and apoptosis.


It is highly recommended that all delegates attend Basic Module before attending Advanced Module, even those with years of experience in flow cytometry.  This is to ensure that all participants get the most out of the modules and to confirm that the basics of flow cytometry have been understood before facing more advanced topics in the next Module.

All notifications received 3 weeks before the start of the event, get refunded for 100% minus an administrative fee of 20 euro.

Cancellations requests received less than 3 weeks before the start of the event won’t be refunded.
